Preparation Methods
~ Steamed: This preparation focuses more on the emotional energy, though mothers have found that it has a positive impact on the physical energy as well. It is safe to use for frozen placentas. If you are GBS positive, steamed is used for safety.
~ Raw: This preparation focuses more on the physical energy, though mothers have found that it has a positive impact on the emotional energy as well. This method requires that the placenta be very fresh, but this method maintains the protein and enzymes that naturally occur.
~ Half-and-half: For moms who would like to have both types of capsules on hand, I will steam half and leave the other half raw so you can chose the method that fits your needs at that moment.
~ Twins: If you have multiple additions coming, there is a $25 surcharge for the extra time and materials.
Current capsule choices:
Gelatin: clear unflavored, white unflavored, mint, strawberry, orange
Vegetarian: clear unflavored, white unflavored
If you're having a hard time deciding, I have found there really is no wrong choice.

Additional Remedies
~ Tincture (DIY): A tincture can be used later when mother's menses return, when her daughter begins her cycle, and during other times of stress (illness, teething). It requires a 6 week period for steeping so when it is returned to you it will not be ready for use. You will need to swirl the two ounce bottle daily and strain it when it is ready. Cheese cloth for straining and a funnel are provided.
Investment: $25
~ Homeopathic: For those ordering a tincture, I can also prepare a homeopathic remedy. I make this to 40c; each dilution and succussion represents one week of pregnancy; the "mother" is a two week steeped tincture. This is your child's constitutional remedy and helps anytime they are "off" - be it physically or emotionally. This is often helpful for mother and siblings as well. I will store the 37c so that refills may be made. You will receive the 40c bottle as well as a bottle with 1c-36c created in the process, both two ounces. The finished products will be mailed to you about a month after you give birth.

~ Essence: This is similar to how a Bach Flower is made; this is considered "energy" medicine. It becomes your baby's personal Rescue Remedy, to use anytime baby is off, be it emotionally or physically. Moms, dads, and siblings can also benefit from this remedy. It only takes a small piece of placenta to make enough essence to last a life time (or four). I highly recommend this tool. You receive a two ounce usage bottle (a dose is two to four drops) plus a half pint mason jar with the "mother" essence allowing you to refill the usage bottle; only 10 drops of the “mother” are needed to create another usage bottle. Consider what a placenta provides - connection, grounding, safety, nourishment. If any of these are off, the remedy can help restore it.
Investment: $25
~ Calming Spray: For those ordering an essence, I can also make a calming spray. This has the placenta essence, Rescue Remedy, and therapeutic grade lavender oil with water in a four ounce glass spray bottle. It can be used in a room to keep the atmosphere calm and pleasant. It can also be used to spray around family members for a grounding effect.

I enjoy offering these gifts to my clients:
~ Prints: The fetal side of the placenta looks like a tree, which is very fitting. This is a simple keepsake for your baby's first "friend" in the womb. Some parents like to keep their placenta prints with their baby book.
~ Cord Keepsake: I dehydrate the cord in a spiral or other shape. This can be used as part of a blessingway, it can be buried as part of a growing up ceremony, or can be kept as a reminder of the strong connection between mother and child.
~ Images and Notes: While working on your placenta, I take pictures and note weights as well as other data. This information is shared to you.
~ Postpartum Survival Guide: I am so happy to provide my placenta clients with a list of resources and tools as you adjust to life with a newborn.
Please note that some birth places and practices will interfere with my ability to provide these gifts.
Additional Keepsakes
~ Moon: A unique and beautiful keepsake using the amniotic sac to remind you of the fullness of pregnancy, the orbit of your baby, and the seasons of your family. This comes simply framed with your choice in the color of the matting.
Investment: $35
~ Placenta Gems: Using left over powder and dried amniotic sac, I cast in resin with a variety of colors, glitters, and shapes (balloons, dinos, keychain, bears, flowers, hearts, forest animals, gems, buttons, leggos, butterflies, baby feet, onsies, baby animals, crowns, robots, snowmen, snowflakes, candy canes, pendants…). If there is a particular theme you would like, I would be happy to add to my collection.
Due to curing time, finished products will be mailed to you. If you have left over capsules and would like a keepsake, I can use that powder for these sweet mementos.
