Why Encapsulate Your Placenta?

Benefits of Placenta Encapsulation

Though no large studies have been performed, many moms report benefits from consuming their placenta.

~ The placenta contains mother's hormones that are biologically matched to her.

~ It is believed that this helps a mother adjust to the ups and downs of life with a newborn.

~ These hormones are also believed to help initiate milk production and support her continuing milk supply.

~ The placenta is an iron rich organ, which is believed to help increase the mother's energy levels by reducing anemia.

~ Mothers also report that it helps as she physically heals from her birth experience.

The information above has not been evaluated by the FDA. The services on this page offered by Mile High Placenta are not clinical, pharmaceutical, or intended to diagnose or treat any condition. Why Choose Mile High Placenta

~ Experience. I have been providing placenta encapsulation for over a decade, having had the honor of taking care of hundreds of clients in the Denver area.

~ Convenience. I pick up from Boulder to Castle Rock, process, package, and deliver your finished products. You just had a baby, you have enough to do!

~ Speed. I promise to get your capsules back to you within 48 hours. Often times it's within 24 (steamed) or 36 (raw). I know the value of having your capsules as soon as possible and work hard to limit your wait time.

~ Health Matters. I only use latex-free equipment and tools. I offer vegan capsules and grain-free alcohol at no additional cost to accommodate your dietary needs.

~ Choices. I offer flexibility in how your placenta is prepared to best fit your individual needs. I offer additional products help your placenta remedies last even longer.

~ Memorable. I provide you with prints and a cord keepsake so that you have a tangible memory from your baby's first friend in the womb. I take pictures and notes during the process and share this information to you via Google Drive (this is a sample folder, including pictures of a placenta). I offer additional products to honor your baby's "tree of life" - moon and gems.

~ Discretion. By using my work space, I can provide quick service without disrupting your postpartum bonding time. Your partner can stay with you, there's no need to separate your new family. You don't have to let a stranger into your house. You don't have to explain to visiting friends and family what's cooking on your counter. You don't have to worry about keeping your placenta safe while it's processing. You don't have to put up with the bleach in the air when you have a newborn. You don't have to take on the responsibility of keeping your placenta safe and clean.

~ Safety First. I only use my tools with placentas that are verified HIV and Hepatitis B negative (I have other options for mothers who are positive). I use Bloodborne Pathogens protection and safe food handling protocols in order to keep my tools and environment safe for you. Counters are cleaned with a 20% bleach solution; tools are cleaned in a 10% bleach solution. Latex free gloves and a mask are always used when handling your placenta. Here are the details of my process.

~ Safety Second. I use parchment paper liners in the steamer and dehydrator as well as single use shears for slicing. No one else's placenta has touched it, reducing risks even further.

~ Postpartum Survival Guide. I am so excited to provide my placenta clients with a list of local resources and tools to help you not only survive, but thrive during your postpartum adjustment with your newborn.

~ Honor. I believe the placenta deserves respect and gratitude for the miracle it provides in nourishing your baby and then you. That energy is felt when I work with your placenta.
